Fiji sports teams have shown a lot of potential so far this semester; although there have been a few losses, the overall outlook is promising. Volleyball and Wallyball, captained by Sophomore Matt Stine and Senior Sean Bennett, are undefeated at this time. Racquetball is a projected win because of Sophomore Chris Beaven, who plays for RPI. Fiji has won 4 and lost 3 games in basketball this semester, with several impressive wins while only losing to A league teams. The team is in good
position for the playoffs and has gotten stronger throughout the season with much help from pledge Brent Peterson.
The diamondback’s have 1 win and 2 losses, which is a respectable position this early in the season and had a shot at the playoffs but, ultimately fell short because of ties. Overall, FIJI sports are seeing success, and we wish them all luck in the upcoming events.
